Protect Great Bear Rainforest from Pipelines and Tankers

I’ve only lived on the BC coast for a few months, but I am already in love.

Enbridge wants to bring dirty tarsands oil through a pipeline to the BC coast, which would create massive amounts of super tanker traffic through the coastal islands.

This creates huge potential for pipeline leaks, as well as oil spills as the tankers navigate the intricate coastline.

The Great Bear Rainforest is home to an incredibly diverse range of species, including the Spirit Bear, a white (not albino) black bear which only exists in this area.

Please sign this petition to prevent pipelines from being placed in important ecological areas such as the Great Bear Rain Forest.

And if you have the time, check out the documentary Spoil, which talks about the area and the potential consequences of the pipeline.

This takes only a few minutes, and could have a lasting impact, please sign the petition and show you care about one of the few unexploited wild places left in Canada.
